The Sanctuary of the Silent Star was project by Michael McIntosh selected for a Burning Man Honorarium. I worked with him and many others to design and produce the textile-based interior of the building.

The Sanctuary was intended as a shelter from the incessant noise and chaotic over-stimulation. For me, sanctuary, like a womb, is never a destination. It is a shelter to nurture, grow, med, and ultimately to leave, perhaps stronger and more whole.
